1.) explain the cartoon on pg. 84

2.) how do you distinguish between "wants" and "needs" with your money.

  1. 1. It means that when you just spend your money on stupid things and have no kind of management, its just as bad as throwing your money away.
    2. The "wants" are things that you just want to have and don't need to have. The "needs" are things that you need to survive.

  2. 1.) The cartoon means that if you don't manage your money wisely, you will never succeed in life.
    2.) The "wants" are things that you want but you don't need to survive and things you "need" are things you have to have to survive.
    3.) Five wants are an indoor arena, show saddle, stalls, new truck, and a new trailer.
    4.) Five needs are food, water, clothing, shelter, and education.
    5.) Five other vehicle expenses are new tires, oil changes, batteries, gas, and windshield wiper fluid.

  3. 1. The cartoon is about a person who gets money and then spends it right away and has no plan or procedure to save his money......he has no budget at all

    2. When you want something ask yourself will that item help you out or will just be a waste of money when you need something make sure its something worth while

  4. 1.) The cartoon is saying if there isn't a budget, it's like having a hole in your pocket. This means if you have no limits on what you spend your money on, you'll have no money left in the end. A person needs to prioritize their money starting at needs and move on to wants.
    2.) A "want" is something that may be used in everyday life that a person has to have in order to live a comfortable life or maybe even survive. A "want" is something that a person doesn't actually need and they may want it just for entertainment or fun.
    3.) 5 "wants" in my life are new car, live in a mansion, new laptop, go shopping every weekend, and a new cell phone.
    4.) 5 "needs" in my life are food, shelter, water, bed, and toilet paper.
    5.) 5 vehicle expenses are getting your car licensed, oil changes, car wash, insurance, and windshield wiper fluid.

  5. 1. He doesn't think about all the stuff he spends his money on so therefore he spends his money on pointless stuff and wastes all of his money.
    2. I buy the stuff that I need and if I really want something I will spend the money to have it.

    2. A need is something you cannot go without and is worth the money you spend on it. If I want something, I can survive without it, but if I have the money to get it and there's nothing else I need, I can get it.
