  1. I agree that you shouldn't buy gas guzzling cars because it's just going to get worse in the future. So I think we should just stick to trying to buy cars that get really good gas mileage.

  2. I disagree with people thinking that you shouldn't buy cds or dvds because what if there is a major disaster and internet and other things go out. You need something to keep you busy or occupied.

  3. I agree that buying new textbooks for college is going out of style. I know of no one in college who bought their books new. Who would buy expensive books from a campus bookstore when you can by them online for a fraction of the price?

I think people will still buy newspaper subscriptions. I personally read the newspaper out of habit daily and don't like reading the news online of a computer screen.

  4. well my opinion on the the top ten things you shouldn't buy in 2010 i agree with the whole cd thing for the fact that we have been upgrading in the world and we are more likely to be using mp3 ipods ipod touches and stuff like that more than we are to be using cd's. The one i dont agree with is the digital cameras even though we are upgrading i don't think that we should just stop using cameras all though we have phones that could do that for us many people may not be able to afford a cell phone and they choose to use cameras instead because they may find a cheap one that they may wanna buy.

I agree with the list on Newspaper Subscriptions. There is almost no reason to get a newspaper when you can find almost all the news online at many different locations.

I disagree with DVDs, mainly because I think it's easier to just go and buy the DVDs than to have to set up an account online and use your credit card, etc. Plus, they are now transitioning into Bluray, and Sony is working on an even larger disk that can hold up to 100 gb for their video games.

  7. i think that people will still read the news papper and it wont be just the TV.But i think that people will not use the house phone because every one will have a cell phone their is no real use for the home phones any more

  8. i agree with the whole landlines are going away and people are just purchasing cell phones and using them, this is better than a land line because you can save more money, which is pretty much what our society is like now. i don't agree though that DVDs are going to go down and pretty much be gone. I don't think this is going to happen because, yes its expensive to rent DVDs but, if they are on a movie channel you can't watch that movie whenever you want to, so it just makes more sense to buy or rent a movie, so i disagree with DVDs are going to not sell very well any more and i don't think that movie stores should close because of this.

  9. I think that the online backup has its uses but i think it is overall a waste of money because you can put it on a external harddrive. A hard drive is a lot cheaper and it can be kept for many years without excess charges.

I agree that it is a good idea to buy used textbooks if possible because they are alot cheaper which can save the money tight college student from excess expenses. Textbooks are expensive so anything to save some money on them is worth it. Amazon.com should be very useful for this.

  10. I agree with all of it,except the land lines. I think most people will keep a land line just in case. Plus I like using a land line for talking to family if it's going to be a lengthy convo

  11. I agree with all of them. Especially with buying cheapbooks because college is really expensive and it saves tons of money. And besides u will probably won't use those books after college.
